One of the less common errors on Trumpf punch presses is Machine Error 18, Slide Assembly Not Ready.

The error occurs on the TC240, TC260, TC500 and old TC120 and laser combination and R (Rotating) versions.

When this problem occurs, you are in total despair!

So what happens? You call service and get two types of answers.

1-It is not repairable, you have to change machine.

2-It is repairable, but the costs start at EUR 6,000 + VAT if you are lucky and manage to find a reconditioned used component, or EUR 12,000 for the new part.

Clearly, when the value of the punch press is only slightly higher than the cost of the repair, it does not make sense to incur such huge repair costs.

For this reason (it is a situation we have faced first-hand), we designed the replacement for the Trumpf punching machine or press, when the linear amplifier component is not working properly.

When we saw that the kit worked perfectly, we decided to put it on sale to give many companies the chance not to be forced to change punching machines, or face crazy expenses, for a badly designed component.

In fact, when this error occurs, the problem stems from the TYP-SVIZ-14 component card mounted in the head, which controls the position of the slide on the Trumpf punch press head.

The card sends signals to the linear amplifier, which controls, together with the CNC, the movement of the punch, the punch press and their height.

So how do you solve the problem" MACHINE ERROR 18 - SLIP GROUP NOT READY ? "

Purchase KIT TP14XA01 which comes complete with instructions.

The kit includes the installation manual, is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months, and has been designed with certified first quality components, with shock absorber technology, thanks to the resin coating that is not too rigid, and the box design with hybrid Nylon/aluminium technology.

The thermal dissipation study was carried out with simulators from ANSYS, all to ensure a long service life for the replacement KIT that replaces the TYP SVIZ 14 mounted on the punch presses.

To visually see when the component is no longer functioning properly, simply check the two LEDs; if one or both are dim, then the problem is in the TYP SVIZ 14 .

Another more precise method to check the problem, is to check the Low or High signals, in the console, in the IOS CNC page, to check the inputs and outputs of the CNC.

It is advisable to install our replacement with the help of professional installers, but some customers have not needed it.

NB: Typ-sviz-14-repair is not liable for any damage caused by incorrect installation.
